Alpha-Pro® Prophylaxis Paste is a blend of polishing and cleaning agents containing Sodium Fluoride. This splatter-free formula rinses easily and completely. Medium grit is recommended for normal cleansing, polishing, and plaque removal. Also available without added color pigments, flavor and fluoride for patients who may be allergic to additives. It is a medium grit paste ideal prior to composite bonding, sealants, and orthodontic bracket applications.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. use a prophy angle, fill the cup by pressing the face of the cup into the paste while running the angle at a low speed. remove a sufficient amount of paste to complete one procedure and plate in a clean dappen dish or other suitable container.
Immediately close lid after use to avoid moisture loss. Using a prophy angle, fill the cup by pressing the face of the cup into the paste while running the angle at a low speed.
2. Maintain a quick and light touch so the edges of the cup flair slightly while continuing moving from the tooth. Sufficient paste should be maintained on the cup to avoid overheating of the tooth surface.
3. Evacuation of saliva is recommended to avoid dilution and swallowing of the paste.
4. Rinse ful mouth with water spray.
