PRODUCTS DETAILS
Alpha-Dent ® Light Cure Bracket Adhesive is a Paste Adhesive system formulated to bond to metal, ceramic and plastic brackets. The unique filler combination used in the paste produces an ideal bond and a smooth tacky consistency minimizing bracket flotation. The use of light cure adhesive technology eliminates working time constraints.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Dispense two drops of Alpha-dent ® Light Cure Bracket Bonding Resin onto a dispensing pad or other suitable surface. With a brush apply one thin uniform layer onto each etched and dried tooth surface to which the bracket is to be bonded. It is not necessary to cure the Light Cure Bracket Bonding Resin at this ® Alpha-dent time. However, to minimize floatation and contamination, the Light ® Alpha-dent Cure Bracket Bonding Resin may be cured for 10-15 seconds. If contamination has occurred to the cured Light Cure Bracket Bonding Resin surface ® Alpha-dent it can be easily cleaned by dabbing the cured surface with alcohol without the need to re-etch. To enhance bond strength with some fine mesh brackets apply a thin uniform layer of Light Cure Bracket Bonding Resin to the bracket ® Alpha-dent base and cure for 10-15 seconds before applying paste.
2. Apply a thin layer of to the bracket base. ® Alpha-dent Light Cure Bracket Adhesive Place the bracket onto the tooth and press lightly in the desired position. Excess adhesive can be removed easily from the perimeter of the bracket base with an explorer or plastic instrument after bracket is in place.
3. With a metal bracket, using a light-curing unit (minimum output of 600mW/cm2 ) shine the light-curing unit tip from the incisal edge and illuminate for 20 seconds and for 15 seconds from the gingival, mesial or distal bracket edge. Curing may be done directly through transparent brackets from the labial for 20 seconds. For all bracket materials, the light-curing unit tip must be placed as close to the bracket base as possible during curing.
4. Archwires can be placed immediately once the paste has been properly cured.
5. After treatment is complete, remove brackets in the usual manner.
